Trout Fishing

I fish in a small river near my house during the summer and have caught some massive trout! When I don't have the time to take the boat out I love to do a little shore fishing. There is a trail underneath the train bridge that is a hotspot for trout because of the deep pools created by the current. Everybody has opinion on what bait to use for trout, but personally I like Panther Martin spinning lures or live bait which consist of nightcrawlers, minnows, or whatever you can find along shore that they may be eating. The reason for fishing near the current is because trout aren't very aggressive compared to other species so they stay near the current to find food instead of chasing it. Using a ultra light rod has worked wonders because it allows me to cast exactly where I want to be and it makes fishing for trout a little more exciting! Good luck fishing!
