Ice Fishing

It's about that time to get out on the ice and start drilling holes. One thing I realized people do is stay in the same spot ALL DAY LONG without catching fish. If you aren't having any luck try moving around, I use a portable ice shack to make that easier. If the water isn't clear enough to see down the hole, make sure you keep a very close eye on your line, so you can see any movement whether the line tightens or it's moving side to side, that way you will know if something is grabbing your bait. Knowing what depth each species swims at will help you get an idea of where to sink your line. I love using wax worms, or small minnows when i'm out, but i also try to jig when there is no luck. Be patient and use what you've learned to catch some monster fish!
