Prepare for the worst!
I took my girlfriend out fishing to a river that has some massive trout. We pulled up and got all our gear together and set out down a mile long trail. I know this trail well as it is one of my favorite spots. Every once in a while we would stop to cast and try out different areas, but I always resort to crossing a creek and sneaking underneath the train bridge to get near the current. As we were crossing the creak, my girlfriend slips and falls down into the water! She is soaking wet and miserable because the weather isn't that warm here! Long story short, I didn't get much fishing done as we started heading home so she could get a change of clothes. Make sure you are prepared for anything!
